Interesting article from The New York Times

From The New York Times: "Twitter Can’t Save You"

A technology skeptic argues there is nothing inherently liberating about social networking. Indeed, the opposite may be true.

Just another interesting viewpoint on the future of the Internet and Social Media networks.

Thanks for sharing this interesting article. However, personally, I think that in many ways the Internet is like a book. It may contain ideas that move people to do great things or it may contain trash.
One of the big differences is the immediacy of the interconnectedness. The author of the book being reviewed describes how the Internet did not result in a successful revolution in Iran, but things so far are going much better in Tunisia and Egypt. The very fact that the whole world is watching through 21st century technology is sending shivers down the spines of dictators worldwide.
As an aside, if the author had published on the web, he could have updated his observations to fit new facts. You couldn't do this before the use of the Internet!
